Converting Cellulose to Glucose

Principle: There are many methods to do it. Try to collect the information about this topic. One of the method is to start with the following :

• filter paper, wood chips,  cotton (  90 % cellulose )
• Cellulase, buffered at pH=5.00±0.01, 10g/l solution
• H₂SO₄, 5% solution
• KOH
• Reagents for sugar analysis

 The Acid Hydrolysis will last for quite long time by putting cellulose into Sulfuric Acid solution. And the reaction will be stopped by putting KOH to neutralize the acid.  Think if there is any mechanism similar to this to convert cellulose to glucose in nature.
