Battery Principle of Battery: A battery is made of two electrodes ( with 2 different metals ) and electrolyte ( solution can conduct electrical current ). The basic principle is: one electrode loses electrons from the electrolyte, and the other electrode obtains electrons from the electrolyte. With this principle in mind, the target to make a good battery is to look for proper materials for electrodes ( 2 different metals ) and electrolyte in order to have the desired chemical reaction to happen.
The possible combinations are:
I. electrodes: copper wire and steel paper clip electrolyte: lemon II. electrodes: zinc and copper electrolyte: pineapple
... Try to use different materials to generate biggest electrical current.
